The King will receive hospital treatment on an enlarged prostate next week

Buckingham Palace say it’s an issue experienced by “thousands of men each year” and now “The King has sought treatment”.

The Palace added, “His Majesty’s condition is benign and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure”.

The King won’t take part in public engagements during “a short period of recuperation”.

At the same time the Princess of Wales will be out of action until Easter after successful abdominal surgery.

King Charles To Receive Treatment On Enlarged Prostate

Fashion house Fendi has named Princess Anne as their inspiration for their Milan Fashion Week Collection.

The tench coat, tweed, and Wellington boot wearing Princess Royal is being used as the basis for their 2024 - 2025 men’s autumn collection.

Fashion auctioneer Kerry Taylor sells outfits worn by the rich and famous and isn’t surprised by the choice.

Fendi Designer Silvia Venturini says Princess Anne is “is the chicest woman in the world”, praising her for “breaking the masculine and feminine codes”.

One fashion historian believes the royal’s ability to repurpose clothes fits a new desire for longetivity and sustainability.

Princess Anne’s unique style will now be front and centre of fashion weeks and royal visits.

Princess Anne Inspires Fendi's Milan Fashion Week Runway

With Princess Catherine hospitalised, and King Charles due to go to hospital next week, other royals will have to pick up their duties.

Princess Catherine is recovering in hospital following planned abdominal surgery, and may not resume her duties until after Easter. It may also take some time for King Charles to recover from his hospital treatment next week. Prince William will also be out of action, while he cares for Princess Catherine and their children while she is recovering.

With three of the most senior members of the Royal Family unable to perform their official duties other Royals will have to step up.

Queen Camilla may take the place of the King at any of his planned engagements, and it’s been reported Princess Anne and the Duchess of Edinburgh may also serve as replacements at other engagements.

Princess Catherine is now in the private London Clinic hospital for a third day but is apparently doing very well. The Princess will remain in hospital for two weeks before continuing her recovery at home.

Denmark's New King: Frederik X is Crowned

The Queen has said the King is "fine" and "looking forward to getting back to work" as he awaits treatment for an enlarged prostate. Camilla was on a solo visit to the Aberdeen Art Gallery on Thursday to open its new Safe Space, an initiative to provide help and guidance to people if they suspect someone is living with domestic abuse. The Royal Family has always had a close connection to the military.
King Charles is the Commander-In-Chief of the British Armed Forces, and served in both the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy.

Prince Harry joined the British Army, graduating from Sandhurst in 2005. The government prohibited Prince Harry’s deployment to Iraq, but he was eventually permitted to deploy to Afghanistan in 2007.

As the first in line to the throne, Prince William faced even tighter restrictions during his time in the British Army. After graduating from Sandhurst in 2006, he was prevented from deploying to Iraq or Afghanistan. In 2009, serving as an RAF officer, Prince William joined their Search and Rescue Force.
He reportedly took part in 156 search and rescue operations, rescuing 149 people in total.

While neither Queen Camilla nor Princess Catherine served in the armed forces, they both hold a number of honourary military ranks. Queen Camilla has the honourary title of Colonel of the Grenadier Guards. While Princess Kate has the honorary title of Colonel of the Irish Guards.

Royals in The British Armed Forces

Denmark has a ‘proclamation’ ceremony for a new monarch rather than a coronation. But Denmark still enjoyed a day full of pomp and circumstance as Queen Margrethe II handed the reins to King Frederik X.

Queen Margrethe II travelled from her residence at the Amalienborg Palace to the Christiansborg Palace. The monarch was escorted by the Guard Hussar Regiment. Thousands of well-wishers filled the streets of Copenhagen. 

Queen Margrethe’s son Frederik arrived at the palace by car. Once inside Queen Margrethe signed a declaration of abdication, transferring the crown to Frederik.

Afterwards, King Frederik X was proclaimed king by the Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen from the balcony. The new king was then joined by his Australian wife Queen Mary and his children Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. 

The royal family then returned to the Amalienborg Palace, passing by thousands of adoring fans. The King and his family made one last balcony appearance, before retiring into the palace.

But Danish royal fans partied on into the evening, enjoying a fireworks display at Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens. 

The next day King Frederik X and Queen Mary arrived at the Danish parliament for their first official engagement. The former queen Margrethe was also in attendance.

King Frederik X Crowned King of Denmark: Ceremony Highlights

Catherine, the Princess of Wales, is currently in a private hospital in London recovering from “planned abdominal surgery”. Kensington Palace said that Princess Catherine would remain in hospital for up to two weeks, and then recover at home.

The abdominal surgery was apparently successful, but the Princess has requested that any further medical details remain private.

Princess Catherine has apologised for having to postpone her upcoming engagements until after Easter. Her Royal Highness said that she was looking forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.

Cute Moment Tearful King Frederik Is Comforted by Daughter

Prince William visited his wife Princess Catherine in hospital on Thursday following her operation earlier this week. The Prince of Wales was pictured driving away from the hospital after the visit.
Princess Catherine will remain in hospital for two weeks, before continuing her recovery at home.

The Princess will be unlikely to return to any royal duties until after Easter. 
Prince William has also taken a break from official duties while he cares for their children, and supports his wife’s recovery.

The Prince’s father, King Charles, will also be in hospital next week for an operation on his prostate. Yesterday while on a visit to Aberdeen, Queen Camilla said the King “was fine”.

Other members of the Royal Family, such as Princess Anne, will cover for the absent Royals at official engagements in the meantime.

Prince William Visits Princess Catherine in Hospital

The Duchess of Edinburgh is celebrating her 59th birthday today!

Sophie married Prince Edward in 1999 and soon became a full-time working member of the Royal Family.

Following their union, the pair received the titles Earl and Countess of Wessex. 

Edward and Sophie became Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh in 2023, the same year that her brother-in-law became King.

Sophie is a much loved member of the Royal Family and both the Duchess and her husband have dedicated their lives to charitable work.

The mother-of-two is particularly passionate about gender equality, eliminating avoidable blindness and supporting people with disabilities.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh Celebrates Her 59th Birthday

Prince Abdul Mateen of Brunei has married his fiancée Anisha Rosnah in a lavish ten-day-long ceremony. 

Known as ‘Asia’s most eligible bachelor’, his fans were surprised when the prince announced his engagement in December. Prince Abdul Mateen is the fourth son of the Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah ibni Omar Ali Saifuddien III.

The happy bride is from a prominent Bruneian family, and her brother is thought to be a childhood friend of the prince. She studied at the University of Bath in the UK, and went on to become a fashion designer and entrepreneur.

Tuesday will mark the end of the ten-day wedding ceremony. The last nine days have been packed full of solemn ceremonies and prayers, as well as lavish celebrations.

While Prince Abdul Mateen is only sixth in line to the throne he’s gained prominence in recent years by accompanying his father on diplomatic missions.

Sunday’s ceremony was followed by a parade through the streets of Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei’s capital city.

The Prince of Brunei's Amazing Ten-Day-Long Wedding

An official portrait photograph of King Charles III has been unveiled. The portrait is intended for display in public buildings, such as government offices, courts and schools.

The picture was taken by Hugo Burnand, who also took official portrait photos of the King and Queen at Charles’ Coronation. In the new photo King Charles III is wearing a Royal Navy uniform, and an array of official medals and decorations.

The monarch is the Commander-In-Chief of the British Armed Forces. Before becoming King, Charles served in both the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. 

The government says it hopes many public bodies such as schools will accept the offer of a free framed portrait. It also clarified that the portrait is not intended to replace any photographs of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Instead the government suggests the new portrait should be hung alongside any older portraits.
