The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have teamed up with Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County, donating their own money and time to help create affordable housing for the community that roots for them every week.   More than a dozen Bucs players, along with team staff, joined other Habitat volunteers to work on homes under construction in Temple Terrace — including the two they are helping to fund.   "The special thing about it is seeing the family and how hard they are working," Bucs running back Rachaad White said. "For us to be in a certain spot or predicament in our life where we can help or donate whatever we need to donate: time and money, things like that."

A 14-year-old was arrested Thursday for his alleged connection to the deadly Ybor City mass shooting that occurred on October 29.  According to TPD, two officers saw the suspect displaying a firearm before fleeing the scene on the night of the shooting. The teen suspect was tracked to Palm Beach and eventually arrested.  He faces two charges, including a felony count of a minor in possession of a firearm while wearing a mask and one felony count of carrying a concealed firearm.

On Wednesday, the Hillsborough Board of County Commissioners will vote on installing speed cameras in school zones.   The speed enforcement program aims to catch speeders in school zones and make it safer for students going to and from school.  Commissioner Gwen Myers said speeders are a big issue in Hillsborough school zones.

A statewide grand jury said Monday the nation’s border crisis poses “physical and financial dangers” to Floridians. Its new report also offers state lawmakers recommendations ahead of their January return to the capitol.  The panel’s latest findings are its fifth presentment since its inception last year. It again hits the Biden Administration over border policy as critics consider the release a partisan effort to undermine the president.  The 146-page report suggested nearly three million — more than 8,000 a day — attempted to cross into the U.S. in 2022 alone illegally. A third, the grand jury found, were stopped by authorities— while the remaining either “got away” or await immigration court hearings. Florida, the panel estimated, now has nearly a million residing in the state illegally.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School will soon be performing on a nationwide stage.  “A surreal feeling, it’s incredible. It’s something that’s once in a lifetime,” said Adam Rivero.  Rivero is a sophomore, one of 161 students who call themselves a member of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Eagle Regiment.  It includes brass instruments, percussion, and color guard. They are a community of students who love one thing: music.  “I’m glad that we are going to be able to showcase Stoneman Douglas in a positive light and show the world that there is talent out of Stoneman Douglas,” shared the student.  Since September, the band has been working around the clock to prepare for an opportunity unlike any other. It’s a chance to show the world their talent at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

They said while many people will be shopping, people need to also focus on giving back to the planet.  "There's only one world, and we have to take care of it," said 15-year-old Zoey Yuhasz, who volunteers with Coastal Crusaders.  Yuhasz's passion is protecting the environment.

The I-Team previously exposed how Dr. William Wright Adams, a St. Petersburg plastic surgeon, was arrested twice for possession of methamphetamine.  In a follow-through to that investigation, I-Team investigator Adam Walser is hearing from a former patient of Dr. Adams who said she had complications from surgeries.  “It’s been physically, emotionally and financially daunting,” said Tiffany Soriano.

One suspect has been arrested, and another one remains hospitalized after a series of attempted car burglaries in a Davenport neighborhood ended with a crash early Monday morning.  Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) responded to the Preservation Pointe neighborhood off of County Road 547 at around 3:28 a.m. about a car burglary.   Two suspects, a man and a woman, were seen attempting to get into multiple vehicles. The suspect vehicle, a white 2006 Cadillac CTS, was last seen headed toward the neighborhood's only exit.
