A viewer reached out to News 5 Investigators for what she considers an emergency. She has a landline but the number is in limbo and says she needs it for her husband’s health and safety.

Barbara Stefanick has been trying to keep the landline number she’s had for more than two decades. It’s the only number her husband knows. He's living with Alzheimer’s disease.

But porting the number after a recent move has proved to be a problem.
